🏞️ Rivers & lakes of your region

Pick a region and choose Rivers & lakes. You'll see exactly which famous rivers flow through it: the Seine through Normandy, the Danube and Main through Bavaria, the Po and Arno through northern Italy. A river isn't tied to one spot — it threads through every region it crosses, so you learn where it travels.

🌲 Nature & national parks

Choose Nature areas and discover the protected wild places of each region — from France's Cévennes and Camargue to Germany's Black Forest parks, Italy's mountain reserves and the great national parks of the United States. These are real, protected landscapes where nature comes first.

🧭 How we built it

For the rivers, the game checks which regions each river actually flows through and lists it there. For nature, we used real national parks and protected areas from open map data — no made-up places. Some city-regions (like Berlin or Brussels) have little wild nature, so they simply show fewer entries: honest, just like the real world.

💡 Did you know?

• The United States has more than 60 national parks — Yellowstone, in 1872, was the very first national park in the world.
• France's Cévennes park is so dark at night that it's an official "International Dark Sky Reserve" — perfect for stargazing.
• A single river like the Danube can pass through many regions and even ten countries on its way to the sea.

Open any country, fly into a region, and pick the category you want: cities, villages, rivers & lakes, or nature. Mix them for a full tour of what makes each region special. Happy exploring! 🌳
