New: choose your own pilot name

We've made creating a profile in Toponauts more fun and easier. From now on you have two names, and that's on purpose:

1. Your pilot name

This is the name you see in the game — above your helicopter, on the scoreboard and when racing together. It can be nice and fun, silly or cool: 'Captain Tijn', 'Dragon Boss', 'Superpilot'… anything goes. And the best part: multiple kids may have the same pilot name. No more 'that name is taken'!

2. Your login name

You use this to log back in later. It's unique for everyone, so the game knows who you are. No worries: Toponauts automatically makes a login name from your pilot name. If you're 'Captain Tijn', the game suggests for example captaintijn. You can keep it or change it yourself.

Why this split?

Kids love to pick their own cheerful name — but for logging in it's handy if every name is unique. By separating the two, you get the best of both: freedom to be creative and a name that always works to log in.
