🏞️ Lakes of France and the UK — including Lac Léman
Splash down on the water — Toponauts has two new lake maps: the Lakes of France and the Lakes of the United Kingdom. 🏞️🚁
🇫🇷 The lakes of France
France's biggest lakes hide in the Alps. Glide across Lac Léman (also called Lake Geneva, shared with Switzerland), Lac d'Annecy — one of the cleanest lakes in Europe — Lac du Bourget, the reservoir Serre-Ponçon, and the lagoon-like Étang de Berre near Marseille.
🇬🇧 The lochs and lakes of Britain
Scotland calls its lakes lochs. Fly over the legendary Loch Ness, the long and lovely Loch Lomond, Loch Awe and Loch Tay. In England you'll find Windermere, the country's largest natural lake, and over in Northern Ireland the huge Lough Neagh.
💡 Did you know?
- Loch Ness holds more fresh water than all the lakes of England and Wales put together — and, of course, a famous legend.
- Lac Léman is shaped like a giant croissant and is the largest lake in Western Europe.
- Lough Neagh is the biggest lake in the British Isles.
🚁 How to play
Choose France or the UK and pick the lakes map. Each lake is drawn as its real shape on the water — fly onto it to find it. Try to learn them all without the outline switched on!
