New: you're not alone anymore — fly together with other kids!
From now on you're not alone in the sky anymore! While you practise places, countries and capitals, you suddenly see other real kids flying around — each with their own helicopter and pilot name underneath. Learning topography just got a little cosier. 🚁
How does it work?
Very simple: you don't have to set anything. As soon as you start flying, you automatically join a room with other players practising in the same world at that same moment. Everyone busy in the Netherlands flies together; likewise for Europe and the whole World. The other helicopters move along nice and smoothly, so it really feels like you're on the way together.
Prefer to practise on your own? No problem. With the "👥 Together" button at the top left you turn off the other players with one tap (and back on). Tap the list to see who is flying along.
Safe and calm
Toponauts is and stays a safe place to learn. So: no chat, you only see each other's pilot name, and swear words as a name are rejected. Rooms stay nice and small and clear — if a room is full, a new one opens automatically. Teachers can turn multiplayer fully on or off for their class.
New: the afterburner 🚀
And there's more! Every time you find a place correctly, your afterburner charges up a bit. Full? Tap the rocket button and you shoot forward with a speed boost, with a flame trail behind your heli. So you're rewarded for good practice — and racing to the next place is even more fun.
This is just the beginning
We're building plenty more on playing together. On the list are, among others:
