Sound and music: how Toponauts comes to life
Learning works better when it's fun — and little makes a game as lively as sound. That's why we've invested plenty in sound and music in Toponauts. Not as a distraction, but as an experience: you now hear what you're doing.
Each vehicle its own sound
The helicopter sounds like a real helicopter, and the heavy army chopper rumbles a lot deeper. The engine sound moves with your speed: gentle hovering sounds different from full throttle ahead. So you feel the flying and hear it when you accelerate — without looking at the controls.
Music in the menu
Cheerful background music now plays in the menu, so choosing and waiting is pleasant too. As soon as you take off the music stops on its own, so you can focus entirely on the map while playing — and when you come back to the menu, it plays again.
You stay in control
Not everyone always wants sound — in class or on the couch. So you control everything yourself: a volume slider, a general sound button and a separate music on/off button. And of course Toponauts stays free and ad-free.
Tip for parents and teachers: try turning the sound on while your child plays. It makes flying and recognising places that bit more exciting — and more exciting often means: practising longer.
And there's more to come: soon we'll tell you about the extra atmosphere around a very special vehicle… but we're not giving that away yet. 🚁
