πΊπ¦ New country: fly over Ukraine!
Pack your sunflowers β Toponauts flies east! πΊπ¦π» Ukraine is our newest country to explore, with its regions, its great rivers and its famous cities.
πΊοΈ 27 regions, one capital
Ukraine is divided into 24 oblasts, plus the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the special-status cities of Kyiv (the capital) and Sevastopol β 27 regions in total, matching the borders taught in Ukrainian schools. Fly into each one β from Lviv in the west to Kharkiv in the east β and its real border lights up when you're inside!
π Rivers to the Black Sea
The mighty Dnipro cuts the country in two on its long journey from north to south, joined by the Dnister in the west and the Southern Bug and Siverski Donets in the east. Even the famous Danube touches Ukraine's southwestern corner on its way to the Black Sea.
β°οΈ Mountains in the far west
Most of Ukraine is flat farmland, but in the far west the Carpathian Mountains rise up, home to Hoverla (2,061 m) β the country's highest peak. Down south, the Crimean Mountains hug the coastline.
